North Augusta relaunching paid parking system in Riverside Village
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — Drivers in Riverside Village will see a revamped parking system starting Nov. 8.
Operated by PCI Municipal Services, the updated managed parking system focuses on contactless payments while keeping several free parking options.
Drivers will pull into a city deck, lot or designated on-street space, then scan a posted QR code. That opens a payment page.
Key parking options include:
- Hotel Deck and Stadium Deck: First two hours free.
- Center Street Deck and Municipal Center Lot: First two hours free, plus free parking Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during city government meetings (time parked during the free weekday hours still counts toward the two free hours).
- On-street parking: Payment required at all times in designated paid spaces.
- Golf cart corral: Free parking in the designated Riverside Village golf cart corral.
- Brick Pond Park: Free parking only for park visitors, with strict enforcement to prevent use by apartment residents, event attendees or others not visiting the park.
Parking rates vary by location and are charged per license plate. Each paid transaction includes a 55 cent convenience fee.
Current rates and parking maps are posted at www.ParkNorthAugusta.org.
Riverside Village apartment residents are asked to contact their property managers to complete parking registration before the Nov. 8 launch. People who work in the area should check with their employers about parking programs and rates.
Penalties for violations will begin Dec. 1.
